In Hatting Bakker, Njordrum Care is developing a new nursing home with space for also residents with dementia. The building is built with the desire to create a connection with the surrounding community while at the same time protecting and developing the atmosphere of being a small “village community” of its own. A village with housing, activities, functions - such as a baker, hairdresser and café - also available to citizens from the surrounding community. At the same time, a safe and recognizable environment is created for the residents of the nursing home and at the same time contact and relationship
The project is placed in close contact and almost natural extension of the hilly landscape through the use of the unique Njordrum BRICK module. A module with the possibility of both vertical and horizontal offsets - to create both niches and terraces - and thus incorporate a natural variation into the modular.
